Spanish court deadline calculator

Which day the count starts, how many working days are left and when it runs out. With August as a non-working month, which is the omission that costs the most.

The deadline runs out on

Friday, September 18, 2026

5 calendar days from the date of service

Days that do not count

None: every day of the period is a working day.

How the count works

  • The day of service does not count: the period starts running the following day.
  • In periods counted in working days, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays do not count.
  • August is a non-working month for court proceedings, except for those the procedural laws declare urgent.
  • 24 and 31 December are not working days for procedural purposes either.
  • If the last day of the period falls on a non-working day, it is carried over to the first working day after it. This applies to periods counted in calendar days too.

This calculator does not know the public holidays: the national ones change every year, and regional and local ones change with the town where the court sits. You add them, because you know where your matter is being heard. The result is for guidance and does not replace checking the period in the court decision itself or in the official calendar of the court.

And the deadlines, watched for you

Gest Peritia keeps the deadline in the case file it belongs to and puts it in front of you as it approaches: overdue, this week and later on, on the dashboard and in the calendar.
